Now thats a classic case of targeting the top and hitting the bottom. Apparently Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister (Karim M) started using an iPad for work and has since encouraged / inspired many others to jump to tablet computers. Apparently the country has just a little over 15 million in population, not a big target market for Apple, but when the PM goes on to promote an iPad, a lot are expected to follow, aren’t they?
The minister has encouraged ‘tablets’ in a govt meeting back in October thus seeking faster responses for communication he sends. Since then a tablet is seen as a sigh of loyalty for officials in the country. It is also reported that state owned corporations have started to source tablets as per their own specifications …
And the tablet hype has bit another, well this time – officially an nation!
